Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Austin Fraser. As a primary school support assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children achieve their full potential.

About the Job
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to children in EYFS - Year 6 classes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children with special educational needs.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise children during lessons and breaks.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of student progress.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to children to help them improve.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to discussions about student progress.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience in early years, SEND, or teaching assistant roles.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience supporting children with SEN and EAL.
  • Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene knowledge, and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2.

Salary Details

The salary for this role is £83.50 - £90 per day, based on location and experience.
