Associate Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Delivery Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs and solutions for a range of project types and sizes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
- Take responsibility for solid technical delivery in your work, either alone or as part of a team.
- Engage with junior support staff in their day-to-day activities and offer advice and guidance to ensure they develop their skills and we get the best out of our people.
- Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resource, and work delivered.
- Look at new ways of working and take time out for innovation and research to ensure we stay ahead of our competitors.
- Create and maintain a high reputation within the industry, and ensure adherence to quality management and risk control procedures.
You should have a relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification and be working towards chartered status. You should also have membership of CIBSE/IMECHE or an industry-recognised institution.
You should have excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
You should have an in-depth understanding of modern technical delivery methods, particularly in relation to Building Information Modelling (BIM), and be competent in designing and reviewing information by others in such environments.
You will have experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, leading, motivating, and supervising junior/senior engineers.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability in negotiating positive outcomes, resource planning, motivation, and management.
What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a suitably qualified Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineers degree or equivalent qualification. Chartered Engineer status or working towards submission to either CIBSE or IMechE or equivalent is also desirable.
Previous consultancy or contracting experience in some or all of the following: M&E Design & Specification, Surveying & Reporting, and Project Management is essential.
You will have experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, with excellent communication skills both internal and external clients, and a team-based work approach.
