At DP World, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders. We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in Wolverhampton.

This role will be responsible for coordinating health and safety across the site, including preparing daily reports, ensuring that all health and safety processes are implemented in accordance with the company's policies, and coordinating and administering safety training activities to ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations.

The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH General certificate and 2 years of experience in a similar role. They will also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in all Microsoft applications and IT literate.

The Health and Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Quality director to ensure that all health and safety processes are implemented effectively and that the site remains compliant with UK HSE regulations.

About the Role

  • Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical safety and health support and information to all employees to ensure employees are operating in a safe, orderly, and clean environment.
  • Coordinate and Analyse risk assessments, near miss, and accident data to present to the senior management team.
  • Lead health and safety meetings, present data, record actions, and maintain the progress on the actions.
  • Identify, design and develop company health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures as well as enforcing regulatory regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct Health and Safety Induction training for employees, agency employees, contractors, visitors.
  • Conduct internal audits, workplace inspections, Work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complaints in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Review plans and specifications for development of new machinery, equipment, or processes to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.

What will you Bring

  • NEBOSH General certificate essential/ IEMA certified is advantageous but not essential
  • 2 years experience within a similar role is beneficial
  • Health and safety experience or exposure to health and safety in a fast paced warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Current First Aid/CPR First Responder Training is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in all Microsoft application and IT Literate

Eligibility to work in the UK

We may close our roles early, depending on the number of applications received.

A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.

No unspent criminal convictions
