Financial Manager

Greenwell Gleeson is seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the company's manufacturing and construction business.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Planning and Control: Prepare and control the production and manufacturing accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular group reports, including monthly management accounts, cash reporting, and quarterly statutory consolidation.
- Cost Management: Work with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs, improving reporting accuracy and identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Site Visits: Periodically visit job sites to ensure compliance with financial procedures and to provide technical accounting guidance.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Year-End Accounts: Prepare year-end accounts and group consolidation, adhering to IFRS standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and statutory returns, providing technical accounting guidance as needed.
- Support to CFO: Provide support to the Chief Financial Officer in preparing plans and forecasts, as well as on ad hoc commercial projects.
- Qualifications: Qualified Accountant with a strong understanding of UK/international GAAP.
- Experience: Manufacturing or production accounting experience, with a proven track record of managing financial aspects of a business.
- Skills: Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Leadership: Proven staff management and motivation skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
