Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective radioactive waste management strategies and solutions to meet project and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of radioactive waste management approaches across projects and national policies and legislation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on radioactive waste management issues, including problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and participate in project teams to deliver high-quality results and meet project timelines.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in radioactive waste management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in two or more of the following areas: decommissioning, characterization, disposability assessments, application of environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and lead projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
