About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radioactive Waste Manager to join our UK Team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative team that supports our mission to provide clean energy solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality technical projects, producing excellent results while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Contribute to the development of other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to challenging radioactive waste management issues.
  • Develop and implement approaches aligned with the radioactive waste management lifecycle, national policies, and legislation.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus, developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • Significant proven experience in radioactive waste management, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in two or more of the following: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
  • Able to prioritise based on business needs and lead on certain projects.
