We are seeking a highly skilled Radioactive Waste Manager to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.

About the Role:

  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical projects and producing high-quality deliverables.
  • You will play a fundamental role in the development of other team members and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
  • Using your problem-solving skills, you will tackle challenging issues in radioactive waste management and develop innovative solutions.
  • You will have a deep understanding of the radioactive waste management lifecycle and be able to align approaches across projects and national policies and legislation.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining a strong customer focus and developing client relationships.
  • You will effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and project success.

Requirements:

  • You will have a degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • You will have significant proven experience in radioactive waste management, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • You will have proven experience in two or more of the following areas: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
  • You will be able to prioritize based on business needs and lead on certain projects.
