Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to manage the brachytherapy service, including establishing and overseeing quality assurance, post-upgrade checks, and treatment planning procedures for all brachytherapy equipment. The successful candidate will provide support to physics dosimetry in radiotherapy and deputise for the Head of Dosimetry and QA as needed.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of radiotherapy physics, with relevant work experience in the field. They will be able to use complex treatment dose planning systems and adapt the department's DICOM communication and database information system to meet user needs.

The salary for this role is approximately £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About Our Team

Our team of 48 WTE scientific and technical staff work together to deliver approximately 60,000 radiotherapy patient fractions per year using state-of-the-art equipment. We are committed to ongoing professional development and provide opportunities for continuing education and growth.
