About Our Client

Your Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will oversee and coordinate planning, development, and regeneration projects across Derby. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of planners and supporting their growth.
  • Collaborating with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects align with strategic development goals.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, while liaising with regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluating and recommending solutions for complex planning and zoning challenges.
  • Staying updated on local, regional, and national planning regulations and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field.
  • Proven experience in town planning, with a track record of successful projects.
  • A strong understanding of local planning policies, regulations, and the development landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Membership in a recognised professional body (e.g., RTPI).
