Commercial Finance Business Partner

About the Role

Asahi UK is a leading super premium beer business in the UK, operating as an end-to-end business unit responsible for sales, marketing, customer operations, production, supply chain, and wholesale operations in the UK and Ireland. We are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team for an initial 12-month Fixed-Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Finance Business Partner will be responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:

* Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
1. Support and influence Account Managers in producing robust customer tenders, covering volume, price, investment, and margins.
2. Work with Sales, Finance, and Purchasing to prepare budgets and forecasts, providing strong financial support throughout.
3. Actively attend Sales meetings, making relevant challenges where appropriate, in particular, leading the financial aspects of the review.
4. Challenge and support the development of the financial assumptions that underpin the sales plans.
* Business Performance Management and Decision Support
1. Prepare monthly volume, NPR, Product GM, and P+L analysis, as well as customer and category profitability analysis, providing insightful commentary on key variances.
2. Cascade Nectar financial performance to the Sales and B&C Managers Functions with insight and commentary.
3. Continually strive to improve processes and systems to ensure further reporting efficiencies and more insightful analysis.
4. Drive a commercial acumen training agenda through relevant Sales teams, providing 121 and group coaching where appropriate.
5. Facilitate communication of Finance policies and procedures to the Sales and B&C Management Functions.
6. Preparation of Monthly reporting deck, including accurate and insightful reporting and commentary on month-end Product GM/NPR volume/price/mix analysis.
7. Updating Power BI database as new Nominals and internal processes dictate to ensure accurate reporting.

Requirements

* Qualified Accountant with some experience in a business partner Commercial role.
* Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel, and Power BI is an advantage.
* Strong track record of influencing non-financial decision makers and driving improvements through the business.
* Desire to understand the business, drive it forward, and make a wider impact.
