About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic Wanted to join our team in the West Midlands region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing maintenance activities on locomotives and rolling stock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake mechanical and some electrical repairs to fleets of trains
  • Complete maintenance exams safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all relevant work is completed correctly and to tight deadlines
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience as a heavy mechanical fitter
  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical and minor electrical repairs and inspections
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000 + overtime + van and fuel card. You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills and knowledge.
