Job Title: Youth Worker

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Birmingham.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can provide support and guidance to students with a range of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, speech and language difficulties, and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure students can access the curriculum
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH difficulties
  • Support students with EHCPs to access the curriculum and achieve their goals
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH difficulties
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training
  • Team Teach qualified or willing to attend training
