Physiotherapist for Community Rehabilitation

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation services to adults within the Burntwood, Lichfield, and Tamworth locality.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work as a registered practitioner within our established multidisciplinary team. You will undertake a Community Physiotherapist role for the South East Staffordshire Community Rehabilitation Service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive assessments using verbal and non-verbal communication skills, highly skilled physical examination, and manual assessment techniques. Provide accurate clinical diagnosis, agree physiotherapeutic goals, and treatment plans with the patient/carer.
- Maintain own competency through Continuing Professional Development activities and maintaining a portfolio which reflects personal development and meets the HCPC standards.
- Maintain and develop current knowledge of evidence-based practice, developing specialist knowledge of conditions and patient types through in-service training, self-directed learning, tutorials, peer review, and external courses.
- Hold responsibility for your own specialist caseload and be responsible for a defined area of service/patient type working without direct supervision as an autonomous practitioner.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of clinical governance and risk management and apply to work situations e.g., lone working, manual handling, incidents, accident reporting.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer support, staff appraisal, and personal development planning.
- Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of Physiotherapy students, working with universities and Trust Clinical Placement teams to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meet the set standards by the degree level qualification.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BSc in Physiotherapy.
- Relevant postgraduate training within the speciality of rehabilitation.
- Evidence of CPD in a portfolio – relevant to clinical field.
We offer a competitive salary of £43,041 per annum, plus benefits including excellent NHS Pension scheme, generous maternity, paternity, and adoption leave, options for flexible working, and up to 27 days annual leave (increasing with service up to 33 days).
