Senior HSE Advisor

CMR & Life Sciences Careers is seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Advisor to join their team in Reading. As a leading engineering and maintenance provider, the company supports customers across various markets, including chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables, and food & beverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and line management to safety advisors within the team.
  • Work closely with the existing Lead to provide strategic guidance to the HSE team.
  • Collaborate with the business' Regional HSE to ensure the project aligns with regional health and safety goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to project managers on all matters relating to HSE.
  • Ensure all work activities comply with company and site safety procedures, maintaining high standards of health & safety.
  • Promote a Safety First culture, delivering toolbox talks and safety-related training as required.
  • Track and report HSE performance in line with regional requirements.
  • Identify and develop initiatives to drive continuous improvement on the project.
  • Plan and conduct HSE audits, ensuring timely closeout of any actions.
  • Encourage safe card submission within the team, monitor submissions, and follow up on actions with relevant managers.
