The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to join our collections department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting and sustaining a constructive, supportive, and professional working relationship with all customers and colleagues. You will work closely with our merchants to validate their circumstances and resolve issues with a positive outcome for both YouLend and the merchant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to resolve non/under-paying customers
  • Manage high-value accounts in arrears across unique circumstances
  • Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls, create bespoke content with high levels of care and accuracy
  • Negotiate and implement positive solutions with merchants' circumstances in mind
  • Work with various teams to understand and implement the most appropriate course of action for each account
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders and Collections & Recoveries Management to review and develop recovery strategies
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Credit Control/Collections/Debt Recovery environment
  • Strong understanding of insolvency and legal escalation within Collections & Recoveries
  • Excellent communication skills, accuracy, and confidence
  • Ability to manage complaint-related matters and foster a positive resolve
