CMT Group is a leading supplier to the construction industry, seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support both Treasury and Accounts Payable functions. This role offers opportunities for career growth and development within a dynamic and fast-growing environment.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will report directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and be responsible for various tasks, including bank account reconciliation, providing timely reports, assisting in query resolution, and supporting the processing of supplier invoices.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Reconcile company bank accounts daily
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on balances and cash flows to senior management
  • Address payment and receipt queries promptly
  • Support the processing of supplier invoices for both stock and overheads
  • Manage deposits and balance payments with import suppliers
  • Allocate payments to supplier accounts accurately
  • Contribute to the resolution of queries on supplier accounts, engaging internal teams as required
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Accounts Payable to meet critical deadlines

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Undertake miscellaneous payable-related tasks assigned by the Finance Manager
  • Compile and submit reports on payables and related activities for the Finance Manager's review
  • Establish new credit accounts with suppliers or customers
  • Provide temporary support to the Credit Control team during periods of absence

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
