We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS team at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide occupational therapy interventions.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health difficulties and the MOHO model of practice. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff from other agencies, social services, and the independent sector.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and providing occupational therapy interventions to young people with mental health needs and/or neurodevelopmental difficulties.
  • Liaising with schools and contributing to EHCPs to identify and meet young people's needs in educational settings.
  • Leading and planning management of treatment for young people in your clinical area, taking into account their emotional, cognitive, physical, psychological, sensory, and social needs.
