Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer

Location: Kennington (Oxfordshire)

Time Commitment: Flexible

The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer plays a vital role in providing companionship to someone we support in Kennington, spending quality time with them in their home, and engaging in activities they enjoy. This may include chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, playing board games, or simply being a friendly presence.

Key Skills:

  • To be kind, empathetic, and friendly
  • To have a good sense of humour and enjoy conversation
  • To be punctual and reliable
  • To maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Before a volunteer role is confirmed, we will require a DBS check and two satisfactory references. Additionally, you will need to undertake safeguarding training and any role-specific training.
