About the Role

The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer will play a vital role in providing companionship to someone we support in their home, spending quality time with them, and engaging in activities they enjoy. This may include chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, or playing board games.

  • To be punctual and reliable
  • To be able to handle confidential information

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be over 18 years old. Upon application, a member of our Volunteering Team will contact you for an informal chat and to explain the next steps. Before a volunteer role is confirmed, we will require a DBS check and two satisfactory references. You will also be required to undertake safeguarding training and any specific training for the role.
