About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our Newport Adoption Centre team as a Rehoming Supervisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring the welfare of the cats in our care, and promoting their rehoming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of staff, volunteers, and fosterers to ensure the smooth operation of the centre.
  • Oversee the recruitment and retention of cats, ensuring their welfare and promoting their rehoming.
  • Liaise with other RSPCA centres and colleagues to facilitate the transport and intake of cats.
  • Participate in community engagement activities, such as fundraising, talks at local schools, and social media maintenance.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing a team or volunteers, preferably in an animal welfare or rescue organisation.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare and health issues, with a strong understanding of cat behaviour and needs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work closely with cats and their owners.
  • A full UK driving licence and ability to travel in our fleet vehicles.
