About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Animal Welfare Supervisor to join our Newport Adoption Centre team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, retain, and supervise a small team of staff, volunteers, and fosterers.
  • Ensure a high standard of animal welfare is maintained for cats in our care, both in the centre and within our fostering network.
  • Promote and facilitate the rehoming of cats in our care.
  • Liaise with other RSPCA centres and colleagues regarding the transport and intake of cats to their establishments.
  • Participate in community engagement activities, such as fundraising, delivering talks at local schools, and maintaining social media.
Requirements
  • Experience of managing a team or volunteers.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare and health issues.
  • Able to provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
