Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Management Consultancy. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any potential risks or issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other construction management software.
