Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist to join our team at PriceSenz. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Research: Design and conduct experiments to study the basic principles of plant and animal life, including origin, relationship, development, anatomy, and function.
  • Monitor and Analyze Data: Monitor biological technicians and technologists, observe experiments, record production and test data, and analyze experimental data to write reports and summaries of findings.
  • Prepare and Maintain Laboratory Samples: Prepare, organize, and maintain various lab samples, supplies, and equipment, including maintaining laboratory equipment and analyzing laboratory findings.
  • Learn New Laboratory Techniques: Learn new laboratory techniques and procedures, including programming and using computers to store, process, and analyze data, interpreting research or operational data, and recording research or operational data.
  • Manage the Laboratory: Be responsible for the management of the laboratory, including maintaining stocks of essential mouse strains, coordinating the import of additional mice into the mouse colony, and ensuring the cryopreservation and cryorecovery of appropriate mouse lines.
Requirements
  • Education: Masters degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a science-related field, including experience in mouse and human genetics, stem cell biology, flow cytometry, DNA and protein purification, and the genetics of repeat expansion mutations.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, as well as strong publication and communication skills.
  • Software: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Graphpad Prism.
  • Field of Study: Relevant field, including biology, molecular biology, genetics, and biochemical sciences.
