Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Neurological Rehabilitation team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing specialist rehabilitation to individuals with neurological conditions, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment: Assess and treat patients with neurological conditions, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and independence.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and medical professionals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Patient Education: Provide education and support to patients and their families to ensure ongoing rehabilitation and adaptation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional and legal standards.

Requirements:
  • Professional Qualifications: HCPC registration and a degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience: Proven experience in neurological rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Continuous Development: Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in neurological rehabilitation.
  • Caseload Management: Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • DBS: Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not currently held.
