Community Care Worker

We are looking for an experienced Community Care Worker to join our Duty team at St Helens Borough Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and families in our community and make a real difference in their lives.
About the RoleAs a Community Care Worker, you will be responsible for receiving referrals and progressing assessments for children and their families. You will work closely with other teams to ensure that children receive the support they need to stay safe.
You will have experience of undertaking child protection investigations, supporting children in need, and developing plans to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children and young people. Your direct work with children will show and demonstrate a child's lived experience, which will be central to your planning and support to families.

Our Duty team is made up of 4 teams in total, meaning you will be on duty receiving referrals and progressing assessments for children and their families one in every 4 weeks. You will have experience of working in a hybrid position with some home working.
Requirements- Experience of undertaking child protection investigations
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including flexible working, continuous development, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
