Job Overview:

Dunbar Education is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurture Teacher to join our team and work in a leading SEN school that specializes in supporting students with autism, aged 11 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with autism and additional learning needs.
  2. Collaborate with teaching assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team to create individualised learning plans (IEPs) that promote student growth and development.
  3. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages emotional, social, and academic growth.
  4. Contribute to the school's holistic approach to learning, promoting well-being and positive behaviour.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience working in a SEN setting, specifically with students on the autism spectrum.
  3. Strong knowledge of autism-specific strategies, sensory needs, and communication methods.
