About the Role:

A well-respected specialist school near Reigate is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The students range between 10 and 16 years old, and face a range of social, emotional and mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues.

The ideal candidate will be a consistent role model, committed to building strong relationships, and empathetic towards the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in a specialist school setting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

  • Graduate in a relevant field (e.g. Psychology, Criminology, Counselling)
  • Experience working with SEN children and/or adults
  • Knowledge of mental health and SEMH needs
  • Right to work in the UK

What We Offer:

  • Excellent on-site training and support
  • Competitive daily rate (£80-£90)
  • Term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm
