Lead a Dynamic Recovery Team in Elective Orthopaedic Surgery
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our recovery team in Elective Orthopaedic Surgery at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient patient care in the operating theatres and outlying anaesthetic service areas.
Main Responsibilities
• Lead a team of junior recovery staff in liaison with the theatre team, surgeon, anaesthetist, floor coordinator, and ward staff
• Participate and be a role model in the post-operative care of patients who have undergone orthopaedic surgery
• Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, matrons, and floor coordinators
• Prioritise tasks and manage workload to ensure efficient patient care
Requirements
• ODP qualification or RN1 with a proven record in recovery/anaesthetic practice
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and steady under pressure
• Understanding of patient rights, privacy, and dignity
