Learning Support Professional

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Learning Support Professional to join our team. As a Learning Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including those who have experienced trauma.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team of educators who are passionate about delivering high-quality education to students. You will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans tailored to individual needs, providing emotional support and guidance to students dealing with trauma, and collaborating with other stakeholders to support student development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver trauma-based learning approach sessions to students
- Create and implement lesson plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students dealing with trauma
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to support student development
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in trauma-informed teaching or counselling
- Relevant degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
- Additional training in trauma-based approaches preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the impact of trauma on learning and behaviour
- Ability to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
