Empowering Learning is currently recruiting a Support Worker - SEND Specialist to work in a small, specialist ASD school in Newark. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker who can build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of SEND principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. A valid driving license is necessary for this position due to the school's location.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEND during lessons, activities, and breaks
- Developing and implementing individualized support plans
- Managing pupils' behavior and providing emotional support
- Contributing to assessments and tracking students' progress
Estimated Salary: £24,500 per annum.
