Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Excellence Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This exciting opportunity will enable you to contribute your expertise in advanced care, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work within our Frailty Directorate, based at Royal Sussex County Hospital, where you will be responsible for delivering bespoke care to our elderly patients. Your primary focus will be on conducting comprehensive geriatric assessments, ensuring that every patient receives personalized attention and treatment tailored to their specific needs.

You will have a key role in service development, contributing to audits, data collection, and quality improvement initiatives. As we continue to expand our services, you may be required to work flexibly, including weekends, to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care through comprehensive geriatric assessments
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to service development, auditing, and data collection efforts
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in advanced care. Essential qualifications include:

  • HNC/NMC registration
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent experience
  • Experience in band 7 or above
  • Demonstrable evidence of competent practice in patient management

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • Teaching experience or certification
  • Training in change management and/or clinical service improvement
  • IRMER certification
