Job Role Overview

The Communications Assistant will provide support to the Council's communications service, contributing to the promotion and protection of the Council's reputation, brand, and image.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of an efficient and effective coordinated communications service.
  • Support the implementation of the Council's Communications Strategy and corporate priorities and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve communications goals.

Requirements and Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly between home and the office, with occasional out-of-hours working.

The hourly rate for this post is £17.28 to £18.70, with an annual salary from £31,000 to £34,000 (Grade 2 / Level 7).
