Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the mechanical systems of our submarines. Your main duties will include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical systems, including pipes, pumps and valves.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining and improving existing mechanical systems to ensure they remain safe and efficient.

You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that all mechanical systems are designed, developed and maintained to the highest standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
