Senior Project Manager

Flowbird UK is a leading provider of smart city solutions, with a presence in 60 countries and a team of over 1,300 employees. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage significant project scope, delivering highly technological products in a complex programme environment with demanding timescales.
Role SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of the project through their leadership and attention to detail. They will be the main point of contact for a large element of the programme, with responsibility for delivering to cost and schedule, and ensuring adherence to commercial scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure project schedule and budget are tracked and remain on target, identifying any deviations and taking corrective action
- Provide regular financial and status reporting
- Prepare and maintain the profit and loss statement, including cash flow
- Manage a project team within the programme
- Oversee the delivery of the project in conjunction with the project Technical Lead
- Provide the necessary support for tenders, commercial events, customer presentations
- Contribute to the development of a hardware and software product and delivery strategy
- Provide primary main point of contact and escalation for project matters
- Manage customer expectations and ensure that they are met or exceeded
- Provide leadership in the resolution of issues and challenges
- Ensure the project team understand project goals
- Prepare and maintain the project schedule
- Prepare written reports as required
- Manage the project risks and issues register
- Ensure resources are in place to deliver projects
- Ensure each team member understands their role, the activities assigned to them, the deliverables expected from them and the resources and timescales available to them
- Liaise with other departments necessary for delivery of the project, including Hardware and Software Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Commercial, Field Services, Technical Support, and Product Development
- Oversee the negotiation of contract variations with the customer
- Ensure timely and professional responses to the customer
- Ensure all customer commitments are met
- Ensure customer invoicing is completed in line with project schedules
The successful candidate will have experience of the whole project lifecycle from bidding to warranty support, and a proven track record of delivery to external customers. They will have strong customer-facing skills and project management competences, with the ability to manage complex projects and work well under pressure.
