HSSE Officer

JLL is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services.
We are currently recruiting for a HSSE Officer to join our team in Derby, UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and supporting the JLL WD health, safety and environmental risk management strategy.
The role will involve:
- Conducting site audits to ensure compliance with internal management systems.
- Promoting a culture of positive health and safety awareness among employees and contractors.
- Providing on-site HSSE guidance to the site facilities teams.
- Supporting the investigation of any reported incidents.
- Ensuring suitable and sufficient risk assessments are in place and trained out.
- Reviewing documented safe systems of work to ensure they are suitable and being followed by all site teams.
- Ensuring records are retained to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
- Continually looking for ways to improve the service provided to the wider business.
The ideal candidate will have:
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- NEBOSH Certificate (desired).
- Manual Handling trainer certification (desired).
- Facilities Management based experience (preferred).
- An open communicative style, down to earth approach.
- A Behavioural Safety approach rather than rules based.
- A team player with a Can-Do attitude.
