Job Title: Renal Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in renal dietetics and excellent communication skills.

Job Summary

The Renal Dietitian will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, providing expert advice and guidance to other team members, and contributing to the development and delivery of structured education programs. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in renal dietetics, knowledge of dietetics within the NHS, and experience of multidisciplinary team working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a clinical caseload and provide expert advice and guidance to other team members.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of structured education programs.
  • Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals and gain valid informed consent.
  • Evaluate patient progress and reassess treatment regimens as required.
  • Manage clinical risk within own patient caseload.
  • Work within Trust clinical guidelines and monitor quality of practice.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records.
Requirements
  • BSc/Postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Significant previous experience in renal dietetics.
  • Knowledge of dietetics within the NHS.
  • Experience of undertaking clinical audit.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary team working.
  • Formal teaching/lecturing experience.
