Consultant Anaesthetist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our anaesthetics department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development and delivery of our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide anaesthetic services to patients undergoing surgery, including plastic, maxillofacial, and ophthalmic procedures.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of our clinical services, including peri-operative medicine and critical care management.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Contribute to the management, teaching, and research activities of the department.
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Successful completion of FRCA or equivalent.
- Entry on the UK Specialist Register or proposed CCT date within six months of the interview date.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and full registration with the General Medical Council.
- Experience in anaesthetics with a sub-specialist interest in plastic, maxillofacial, or ophthalmic surgery.
- Desirable: Paediatric fellowship or higher training, Regional fellowship or higher training, and experience in PreAssessment.
