Nuclear Safety Regulation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Regulation Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Senior Engineer - Nuclear Safety and Interface, you will be responsible for providing support, independent advice, and guidance on the requirements of the Nuclear Site License, Authorisation, and Environmental Permits to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with both statutory and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing technical advice and guidance on nuclear safety and regulatory matters
Influencing business management arrangements and ways of working
Interfacing with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and authorities
Requirements:
Stakeholder management experience - working with various stakeholders including contractors, directors, etc.
Experience of technical/report writing and persuasive written argument
Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements

About the Role:
The Nuclear Safety Regulation and Interface Team oversees the nuclear regulation for the site. They exist to provide specialist advice to the business regarding nuclear safety and site licensing and are a key part of maintaining the license to operate. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
