Job Summary
The Moray Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our team. As an Advanced Social Work Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of competent and confident professional practice within our social work team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex cases and deliver cost-effective interventions while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and department policies.
- Lead on the improvement of ICT systems and mentor/coach professional staff to ensure evidence-informed practice.
- Conduct practice audits and contribute to practice, policy, and procedure improvements through expert knowledge.
- Collaborate with other advanced practitioners, consultant practitioners, and the Performance and Quality Team to drive excellence in social work practice.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care and support provided to service users.
Requirements
- Considerable experience as a qualified Social Worker with a professional qualification in Social Work and registration with the SSSC.
- Excellent knowledge of legislation, policies, and practices associated with Community Care.
- Ability to negotiate and liaise effectively, reconcile demands and wishes against financial processes, and work flexibly to meet service demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to colleagues and work independently.
- Ability to support and monitor colleagues, with a strong focus on evidence-informed practice.
Working Arrangements
This role requires the ability to travel efficiently between various work locations within Moray to meet operational requirements. A car is normally used for this purpose due to the rural nature of the area.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including a salary range of £47.45 to £51.05 per hour and 36.25 hours per week.
