Offshore Consent Lead/Advisor

Taylor Hopkinson Limited is seeking an experienced Offshore Consent Lead/Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Consents team, you will be responsible for scoping and planning all activities and surveys required to facilitate the discharges of consent conditions in relation to the pre-construction and construction programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Working closely with the Consents team and Consents Optimisation Lead to ensure alignment across the Project.
  2. Leading on contracting and procuring the relevant environmental and other consultancy support to facilitate the pre-construction activities.
  3. Managing the programme of deliverables from the consultants.
  4. Liaising with other internal stakeholders to ensure strong cooperation within the Project.
  5. Developing and implementing strategies for relevant responsible areas.
  6. Contract and budget management in relation to the responsible area.
  7. Providing updates on key showstoppers to the Consent Manager.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in a relevant environmental or consenting discipline.
  2. Experience of large-scale EIA and/or DCO projects, preferably offshore wind.
  3. Experience of pre-construction and discharge activities and processes.
  4. Preferably some experience of planning applications and working with local planning authorities.
  5. Experience of other consents and licenses.
  6. Knowledge of impact assessment for offshore and inter tidal topic areas.
  7. Experience of developing strategies for high-risk consenting topics.
  8. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and across different cultures.
  9. Experience developing and implementing QA processes.
  10. Experience with stakeholders and regulators relevant to England and Wales is an advantage but not essential.
