Offshore Wind Foundation Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Monopile Design Lead to join our team at Talent Specialist Limited. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional to contribute to the growth and development of our offshore wind capability.
Our client boasts over 20 years of history in Offshore Wind, with a diverse portfolio of global and domestic projects and industry-leading innovations. As a Monopile Design Lead, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design, and contribute to the development of innovative foundation designs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering, with experience in designing primary steel for monopile foundations. You will be responsible for leading the technical design and development of offshore wind foundation types, including monopiles and other innovative structures.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical design and development of a diverse range of offshore wind foundation types, expanding beyond monopiles to include other innovative structures.
- Act as a Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in primary steel design and Integrated Load Analysis (ILA) across a range of offshore wind projects.
- Engage actively in Joint Industry Projects (JIPs), collaborations with academia, and partnerships with technology vendors to develop and implement novel processes and methods for offshore wind project designs.
- Drive the innovation in design and analysis tools, ensuring the development of efficient and effective processes for a variety of projects.
- Support the acquisition and execution of offshore wind projects through all stages of development, offering creative solutions for design, repair, and upgrades.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Address and solve complex technical challenges, ensuring high-quality deliverables are completed within budget and schedule constraints.
- Cultivate and expand client relationships, positioning the company as a go-to source for comprehensive offshore wind solutions.
- Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in civil, mechanical, structural, naval architecture or similar.
- Chartered Engineer with a recognised engineering institution.
