Job Title: Learning Support Specialist

A dynamic and caring Learning Support Specialist is required to join our vibrant primary school in Woolton, where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver engaging lessons and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Cover classes during the teacher's absence, ensuring a productive learning environment.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote respect and a safe learning space.
  • Provide targeted support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring inclusivity in all activities.
  • Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and support staff, sharing insights on student progress and any concerns.
Qualifications and Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must possess a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 12 weeks working with children in a UK school setting. Up-to-date safeguarding training within the last year is desirable, with some training provided by the employer.

  • An estimated salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Additional Information:

This is a long-term contract, starting from November 2024, with potential to continue into the next academic year. Full-time hours are 08:20 AM - 3:45 PM. The ideal candidate will hold the Right to Work in the UK, have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, and provide two professional references related to childcare or educational settings.
