About the Role:

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a Secondary School in the Sefton area. The successful candidate will work with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and classroom support to students with complex needs
  • Help students access the curriculum and develop their skills and confidence
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement individual education plans and monitor progress

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 1 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Experience of working with SEN students in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
