- Work closely with students who require additional behavioural support, helping them to develop strategies to manage their behaviour and succeed in school.
- Lead small group sessions focused on social skills, anger management, and conflict resolution to help students build positive relationships with their peers and staff.
- Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to create and implement individualized behaviour plans tailored to students' needs.
- Regularly track and report on students' progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure they are effective.
- Provide immediate support in situations where students are struggling to control their behaviour, helping to de-escalate situations and maintain a safe environment.
- Serve as a positive role model for students, offering advice and guidance to help them navigate challenges both inside and outside of school.
- Maintain open communication with parents and school staff to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges, in an educational, social care, or youth work setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to their learning and development.
- Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
