Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

A leading supplier of Warehouse Automation & Software products is seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer with experience working in a comparable role within a closely affiliated industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of project engineering for the integration of Warehouse Automation projects.
  • Create detailed designs to meet customer specifications, ready for translation into engineering solutions using AutoCAD software.
  • Carry out all related calculations and risk assessments to ensure that all designs align with technical and safety requirement standards.
  • Organize and run design review meetings for review and development of solutions.
  • Work closely with the sales, projects, and technical teams throughout each stage of the project, producing all relevant documentation when required.
  • Attend sites nationally as and when required.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical design background working within Warehouse Automation. However, the company is also open to candidates with mechanical design experience working within capital equipment or other types of automation with strong AutoCAD skills.

A Mechanical Engineering qualification is essential for this role. The position will be mostly working from home, but there will be a requirement to attend the office in the East Midlands once per week.

A full UK driver's license is required as there will be an expectation to travel to customer sites around the country.
