About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Area Care Manager to join our team at Connected Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of care services in your assigned area.

Your primary focus will be on fostering a culture of excellence and compassion, empowering our team to thrive and drive continuous improvement in our care practices. You will work closely with our coordinator to develop and grow our services, ensuring effective management and delivery of care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the coordinator, working together to drive business growth and achieve KPIs.
  • Accountable for the provision of on-call telephone services, ensuring effective management and coverage.
  • Direct line management of the area-specific Care Team, including workload management, staff supervision, and appraisals.
  • Liaise with the Finance and HR Team to ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Regular communication with the team and individuals, ensuring a high level of service provision.
  • Manage the 12-week induction of new starters and supervise and appraise staff.
  • Attend client reviews and deal directly with Care Managers and Health Trusts as required.
  • Onboard new clients and provide emergency care assistant cover as needed.
  • Report safeguarding and client issues to the direct Line Manager and communicate with the Quality and Compliance team.
  • Ensure the quality of service provision and maintain client care folders.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in domiciliary care.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and appropriate insurance for business purposes.
  • Experience leading a team and creating rotas.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Flexibility to work in the community and cover sickness if needed.
  • Positive and engaging attitude, with excellent communication and planning skills.
