Role Purpose
· Review existing estate planning documentation, including lifetime trusts and will structures, and advise on their suitability.
· Prepare all types of wills, including those to absorb qualifying business assets and agricultural assets, and have an extensive understanding of trusts for asset protection purposes.
· Develop an excellent working knowledge of inheritance tax and a good understanding of capital gains tax in the context of individuals and trusts.
· Advise on pilot trusts associated with pension planning and life policies, and prepare and advise on Lasting Powers of Attorney and old style Enduring Powers of Attorney.
· Deal with termination of trusts.
Key Responsibilities
· Work as part of the wider private client team to support clients on all aspects of wealth work.
· Provide appropriate supervision and support to more junior team members, contributing to bi-monthly file reviews.
· Ensure efficient administration, billing, and cost recovery, meeting agreed targets for self and the team.
· Conduct regular reviews of debts, work in progress, and disbursements, and provide additional support for any issues with time recording.
· Assist in implementing the departmental business plan and the firm's business plan, contributing to the wealth business plan and growing a professional following to introduce new work streams.
· Display a desire to make a wider contribution to the business.

· Able to deliver work in line with deadlines.
· Uphold an excellent reputation and act as a role model to others.
· Maintain a strong profile, network, and establish a reputation within the business community.
· Ideally STEP qualified.
