About the Role

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Operating Department Specialist Practitioner to join its team at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. As a key member of the perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care to patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing and planning patient care to ensure that patients receive high-quality, safe, and effective care
  • Providing direct patient care and having detailed clinical knowledge of the specialist area
  • Supporting and guiding junior staff in the process of delivering high-quality patient care
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration

Requirements

  • Scrub Nurse or ODP and NMC/HCPC registered
  • Leadership skills and experience of mentorship and an ability to identify learning and development needs
  • Substantial recent experience in Anaesthetic
