Role Overview

Catholic Cathedral College is seeking a qualified Part-time School Counsellor to join our team, working two days per week (0.4 FTE including release time) in school hours, term-time only.

This permanent part-time position offers a chance to work with students, parents, and teachers to create a supportive learning environment.

The successful applicant will need to have experience in liaising with external agencies and professionals that support rangatahi, with a passion for youth health and wellbeing.

We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, and we require applicants to have the legal right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions
  • Develop relationships with students and their families
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals

Requirements:

  • Appropriate certification/registration
  • Experience working with young people in Y7 to 13
  • Passion for youth health and wellbeing

Estimated Salary: $NZD 70,000 - $90,000 per annum
