About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Organisational Development Lead to join our newly formed Organisational Excellence team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation.

This is a full-time opportunity, with a hybrid working model that provides flexibility while fostering collaboration and connection with colleagues.

The Head of Organisational Excellence and Design will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative operating models and organisational structures to enhance performance and drive growth across our business units and group functions.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shaping the Future: Design and implement innovative operating models and organisational structures to enhance performance and drive growth.
  • Defining Organisational Design Principles: Own and embed organisational design principles throughout the company.
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams, delivering data-driven insights and recommendations on operating model decisions.
  • Project Leadership: Lead strategic organisational design projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversight and Metrics: Monitor and maintain organisational health metrics (e.g., spans and layers) in alignment with our organisational design principles.
  • Capability Building: Upskill the People Function and broader organisation on organisational design best practices.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Extensive Organisational Design Experience: Minimum of 8+ years leading organisational design programs in consultancy or in-house roles.
  • Proven Expertise: Deep understanding of organisational design models and principles, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Matrix Organisation Acumen: Skilled at navigating and managing priorities within a matrixed organisation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to manage conflicting priorities and engage with senior stakeholders, including C-Suite executives.
  • Leadership: Recognised SME (subject matter expert) at an L6/L5 level.
